Here is a milestone for a parent. The first time your kid(s) does serious damage to your house. Not just coloring on a wall or spilling something on the carpet. I mean possible structural damage. Kyler likes to pull all the paper off the rolls. I don't know if Austin was trying to clean and be helpful or what, but he decided to flush all of it down the toilet. He then walked away without telling anyone. By the time Sarah discovered it, the entire hallway was soaked and the water seeped through the floor and into the basement bathroom through the ceiling. Since I was at work, Sarah and Kade did the best they could to minimize damage. They used all or our towels and a lot of pots. After a few days of fans on the carpet, it is just a memorable milestone.

So here is one of my proud moments as a dad. Kade took a step towards manhood and learned to skip a rock. Now everytime we go to a river or lake, Kade is looking for a "good" skipping rock. He's pretty good.

We had a fun 3 day weekend thanks to Pioneer Day. I took the boys to the zoo in SLC and they had dinosaur days going on. They had about 10-15 animetronic exhibits with the sound. The boys didn't really care about the real animals so most of the pictures are of the dinos. It was a long day...

... so the kids slept on the way home.

Monday we went to the local splash park. Its nice when the kids like to do things that are free.

Here are our boys sleeping. Austin is sleeping like a normal kid, and Kaden...
... not so much. Aunt Miss (who is pregnant) showed up today and I'm guessing that has something to do with it. Hopefully he did this in his sleep, but then again what would he be dreaming about. I can't imagine doing this on purpose and trying to fall asleep. Anybody else's kid do weird things in thier sleep?

This was fathers day. No way was I about to lose a 3 legged race. Sorry for the graininess of the video, it was done with an old camera in our back yard. In case you can't tell I am the one in the red shorts.

This past weekend we went on hike/bike ride up the mountains behind our house. I was actually really impressed with how the boys did. The only complaining was from Kaden (he gets that from his mom) saying how tired he was every 30 seconds. I would have stopped and rested but since Austin wasn't tired I figure Kade was just being whinny.

Before I get in trouble...

Sarah is not a complainer now, but she says she always complained as a kid.
Kade took the above picture. I think it is the first one ever we didn't have to delete for being crooked, heads missing, etc.

I was reading some news on Yahoo the other day and came across this article about switching heads on family pics. Some of them were pretty funny and I thought I would try my hand at it. Since I have 3 boys, I will have to post the other 2 later to not show favorites.
