This is what happens when I babysit. After I taught Jillian to juggle knives. I tried to teach her to through them at the apple on Callin's head. He wouldn't stand still so Kade was trying to hold him still. Luckily no one got hurt (too bad).

Here is Austin's breakfast for his Birthday. Yes it is a giant donut. It actually feed our whole family. Right after breakfast the boys decided to run around the house and jump down the stairs with "parachutes". The boys were on a sugar high for most of the day(you can see it in Kaden's eyes), luckily it was a nice day and they were able to play outside for a lot of it.

This is one of my favorite recent pictures of Austin because it just seems to fit him. My goal by next Halloween is to brain-wash him to the point where he no longer wants to be a super-hero(he was the Hulk this year), and only wants to be an awesome Yoda. Just picture his face painted green and you can see my vision for next year.

Here are a few pictures from the pumpkin walk we went on a couple of weeks ago. No pictures with the boys in them. Apparently its too much to ask 3 boys stand still at the same time with "Angry Birds" and "Despicable Me" behind them made out of pumpkins. My favorite was the last one..."Calvin and Hobbs".

Not quite enough snow for a snowman or igloo, but good enough for the first snow angels of the winter.

Here is the first trick or treat of the season. Kyler's turn to finally wear the Elmo. This is Kaden's first year he doesn't want to be a Disney character, animal, or something "little kidish". He decided to be something scary this year (a ghoul). Austin can't decide between Bumble Bee and the Hulk. Walmart didn't have the Hulk so today he is BumbleBee.

This past Saturday we went to the Apple days parade, then the Peach days carnival in the evening. Its no Avocado days celebration, but much more kid friendly. I hadn't been to the carnival for a while and I forgot all of the "colorful"(whitetrash teens) people that show up. Now I know, once my boys hit puberty, don't take them to the carnival. Maybe that's why I only remember going to the carnival as a kid.

Here is a somwhat recent fun moment. Sarah went down stairs and found Kyler in the toy room like this. Somehow a marker found its way down there and he found it. Notice the felt tip is gone. After calling the nurse hotline, we found out it won't hurt him but make sure he "passes" the tip. It took all the next day but after looking at alot of "Hulk" poop, he "passed" it (and by "passing" it, I mean he pooped it out.

Here is a milestone for a parent. The first time your kid(s) does serious damage to your house. Not just coloring on a wall or spilling something on the carpet. I mean possible structural damage. Kyler likes to pull all the paper off the rolls. I don't know if Austin was trying to clean and be helpful or what, but he decided to flush all of it down the toilet. He then walked away without telling anyone. By the time Sarah discovered it, the entire hallway was soaked and the water seeped through the floor and into the basement bathroom through the ceiling. Since I was at work, Sarah and Kade did the best they could to minimize damage. They used all or our towels and a lot of pots. After a few days of fans on the carpet, it is just a memorable milestone.

So here is one of my proud moments as a dad. Kade took a step towards manhood and learned to skip a rock. Now everytime we go to a river or lake, Kade is looking for a "good" skipping rock. He's pretty good.

We had a fun 3 day weekend thanks to Pioneer Day. I took the boys to the zoo in SLC and they had dinosaur days going on. They had about 10-15 animetronic exhibits with the sound. The boys didn't really care about the real animals so most of the pictures are of the dinos. It was a long day...

... so the kids slept on the way home.

Monday we went to the local splash park. Its nice when the kids like to do things that are free.

Here are our boys sleeping. Austin is sleeping like a normal kid, and Kaden...
... not so much. Aunt Miss (who is pregnant) showed up today and I'm guessing that has something to do with it. Hopefully he did this in his sleep, but then again what would he be dreaming about. I can't imagine doing this on purpose and trying to fall asleep. Anybody else's kid do weird things in thier sleep?

This was fathers day. No way was I about to lose a 3 legged race. Sorry for the graininess of the video, it was done with an old camera in our back yard. In case you can't tell I am the one in the red shorts.

This past weekend we went on hike/bike ride up the mountains behind our house. I was actually really impressed with how the boys did. The only complaining was from Kaden (he gets that from his mom) saying how tired he was every 30 seconds. I would have stopped and rested but since Austin wasn't tired I figure Kade was just being whinny.

Before I get in trouble...

Sarah is not a complainer now, but she says she always complained as a kid.
Kade took the above picture. I think it is the first one ever we didn't have to delete for being crooked, heads missing, etc.

I was reading some news on Yahoo the other day and came across this article about switching heads on family pics. Some of them were pretty funny and I thought I would try my hand at it. Since I have 3 boys, I will have to post the other 2 later to not show favorites.

Happy Father's day. This weekend we had the Father and sons ward campout. The highlight of the trip was a snake that was found with his head removed. I tried to get the boys to hold it up with a stick but I guess I taught them too well to be afraid of snakes. This is the closest either boy would get to the decapitated reptile.I don't know how many have heard or care about the flooding going on this year but here is a picture of a "waterfall" and another picture from the year before. The boys weren't allowed to go near any rivers this time.

REALLY? SERIOUSLY? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Happy Memorial/snow day. No BBQ at our house. Days like this, I almost wish I lived in CA.

So Sarah noticed one day that Austin's bottom half of his PJs and underwear were ending up in the closet. We thought that was weird. Then, one night, around midnight, I was in the kitchen watching Sports Center and I heard some noise in the hallway. It turns out that after Austin goes "pp", instead of putting his pants back on he throws them in the closet and goes to bed "commando" style. Obviously the closet is on the left. Then the baby's room, the boys room and the bathroom is the door open on the right.

So as I was uploading the other pictures I cam across this one from a couple of months ago and thought you all might find it just as funny as I do. The story behind this is that they were playing "marriage" so Kade dressed up in his suit and we don't have any kid girl close for Jillian so we had to improvise. Can you guess what she is wearing? I'll give you a hint, the dress and "veil" are both things that she definitely should not be wearing until she is married. Any guesses?

So out of 8 games the last one (on 5/21/11) was the only sunny day. The other 7 were either raining or snowy. So these are the only pictures I have from the whole season. Not that it makes a difference because every game looks the same. Kaden's team might have won 1 game, but he had a lot of fun. I am going to try and be his coach next year so they can be 7-1 not 1-7. I didn't pay $35 to lose vicariously through my son. He loves playing defense, but he was a good goal scorer. He averaged about 0 goals a game, usually 1 goal for us and 1 goal for them (Its hard to keep track of which way you are going at 5). It was fun to see him play against his friends because he would let them score and then congratulate them.

Since we were out of the country on Easter. The Easter Bunny was nice enough to come back a couple of days later for the boys to do thier Easter egg hunt. Since it was still freezing out side, we did the hunt inside.

The boys were most excited about the "money egg".
